This paper examines the sociological education in faculties consisting of composite disciplines that are the increase in Japan. Based on our research carried out in 2005, on sociologists in those faculties, we argue that there are difficulties in educating and learning sociology peculiar to those faculties whose curriculum consists of plural disciplines including sociology it self. Some of the difficulties discovered are as follows ; 1) Systematic teaching and learning of sociology is difficult. 2) Conjunction of different disciplines is difficult. 3) It is difficult to motivate students to study sociology, as there are considerable ranges of interest in and knowledge of sociology among students.
